Answers: Hamsters are nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the afternoon and are active at hours of darkness. It would actually be impressive for a hamster to be awake during the day and be sleeping at dark. =))

You can change his infatuation, but it will take some self-control and time. First, take him out like mad during the day and hold the lights on. Play with him profoundly. Then, at night, he will bit by bit get sleepy. You must continuously do this for frequent weeks, and if you skip a day, you a short time ago might have to start over again.

If he smells, his pen is too dirty. Hamsters are clean animals, but he is rolling around contained by his own filth and this is cause him to smell. Clean his cage every week. If he still stinks, switch to Aspen or CareFresh bedding.

Lastly, you don't own to change his infatuation of being nocturnal. You can in recent times wake him up during the morning time and play with him. It'll be easier this course.
If you had researched properely earlier getting a hamster, you shoudl know that hamsters are nocturnal. ;) Syrians (teddy bear hamster is lately a fancy name for a long haired Syrian) usually are philosophical sleepers. However you can wake them up softly, but solitary for reasons similar to playing, cleaning the cage, and stuff resembling that.

As for the smell problem, do you clean the enclose weekly as you're supposed to? If you can find an animal safe pet spray afterwards you could spray it AROUND his cage to find rid of odors, but I don't think there's anything else that can be done, unless he's sick, but I doubt it. If you hold an experienced vet aroudn your area you could ask him or her also.

Good luck near your hamster!
Ok. My teddy carry hamster nikki died friday night. She would sleep adjectives day and play adjectives night. Its Normal. And I would verbs her cage every saturday. I would also spray frebreze contained by my room and around the area that smelled. But do not spray in close proximity your hamster it might die. And here is a reminder they loved to be held and cuddleded with!

P.S. Good Luck!!!
Hamsters are nocturnal, so shifting that habit is going to be exceedingly hard, considering that's their instinct. As for the smell, try to use bedding that help with odor, verbs the cage at tiniest once a week(the wet spots),, and you can use some nouns freshener in the room where on earth the hamster is staying. I hope this info helps! Good luck!
