Rats or hamsters?
I don't know, rats are more trainable, yet hamsters are cuddlier.

HAMSTERS:

Hamsters are flowing to take thoroughness for. All you do is clean its round up once a week, make sure it have food and water and uncomplicated!
CLEANING:
Throw away old bedding, wipe 4x beside towel to make sure is nice and verbs. Wipe around the wheel (if you get one), bars, every inch! Then dry. After that you put within new food, river and bedding! Make sure to change hose down 3x a week!
TOYS:
Hamsters need chew toys since their teeth can glibly overgrow. Buy wooden toys, they are highly recommanded!
FOOD:
Shouldn't nurture veggies unless they are dry and must feed now and then. Feed food you can get at PetsSmart or Petco lone!
Most stores have frail food!
WATER:
Sink water is ok! No other similar to Poland Spring or Aqua!
CLEANING:
Do not wet your hamster!\
WET TAIL DISEASE:
Only occur when hamster get stressed or sick from a virus your relations or you had! Remember to keep hold of hamster out of room when you or anyone else is sick!
NEEDS:
Hamsters are nocturnal. Shouldn't wake-up during day or will find stressed! Do not mess with tiolets that hamster clear. Do not poke, or mess up its bed!
ADOPTING:
Pick one 2-8 weeks old! No elder or will spend less time beside the cute and cuddly hamster!
DECISION: I would go for hamster. They live for three years. Possibly more! Rats are icky and escape confidently. I know!
Plus! Hamsters are cuddlier!
