Help rainy mice, here genius?

okay my dad saw a mouse like 3 days ago within the basement, afterwards my mom saw one on our 3rd floor, we have 4 floors, and later my dad cornered it in the closet on the 3rd florr and it disappeared, we tried the bucket method item and the bucket was a foot elevated and plastic with zilch to climb onto, and all the food that be in at hand is gone, so he got out some how, we hold 1 where it cathes them live, and two that slams down on them when they step on it(generic mouse trap) zilch has worked, we enjoy found 4 piles so far of our dogs food, stacked on different storage boxes and we've barely looked that long, is it okay to put the dog food wager on?, its just kibble, and we typically just save it into a tin, and its not old or anything, so someone share me how much mice you think we hold from 4 piles so far that about the size of a foot, seen them on different level of our house and everything, but now near the bucket we have a slam mouse trap so when he jumls surrounded by, he falls into it
Answers: Hard to say..next to the live mouse traps, try shredding some newspaper and facing the inside of the trap..this will make it look more appealing...obedient luck and release them far away from your house.
